A family break, and a bustling city? For some of you, this just sounds like a complete nightmare waiting to happen! But a bustling city really is one of the best places you can go to.
Yes, it might seem like a logistical nightmare to be there with your children, but a bustling city just has so much to offer in terms of the things that you’re going to be able to do there. No matter how old your children are, there’s going to be plenty to do to accommodate all ages.
If we’re talking about a bustling city, you know we’re going to be talking about London. The capital of the UK attracts so many different tourists, for so many different reasons, and one of the main ones is families who are travelling to see the sights.
So, if you haven’t considered it before, here’s why we think you should head to London.
The Family Attractions
London is pretty much built for families, the amount of family attractions that have now opened up is amazing.
In fact, behind the London eye you will find three attractions that are bound to keep you busy if you were planning on going for a weekend.
The first is the Sealife Aquarium, which is one of the biggest in the country, and boasts a wide range of marine wildlife to capture the attention of the whole family.
There’s plenty to see and do here, and there are interactive points along the whole way that your children will love. Since it’s so big, we would recommend that you dedicate half a day out, or maybe even more to this.
You could also go on the London eye, although some children might find it irritating as it does last for 30 minutes.
There’s Shreks Adventure right next door to the Sealife Aquarium, which really isn’t as expensive as you might think, but is a whole lot of fun for the family.
There’s also an arcade sandwiched in between that has indoor bumper cars, and a bowling alley! Well worth a visit.
The Variety Of Accommodation
There’s plenty of accommodation to suit your needs, and for somewhere like London, it really isn’t as expensive as you might think.
If you’ve got a bigger family, you might benefit from looking for short term lets from LSA. It’ll give you your own apartment, which means your own space, so it’s generally easier to manage than being in a hotel.
If you want all the amenities of a hotel however, there’s plenty around that shouldn’t set you back too much.
Handling The Hustle & Bustle
London is busy, we can’t lie to you and say it’s not! However, if you go at the right time, you might find it easier to manage the hustle and bustle of it all.
Weekdays are going to be the best time to go, but we understand you might not be able to get the time off, for both you and your children. So if you’re going to go on the weekend, avoid peak times to walk around in, which is the middle of the day.
Avoid areas such as Trafalgar square,
and get the bus to the destinations that you’re trying to go.
