Gift giving is notoriously hard, even if you’re giving gifts to the people that you love the most.
Take your partner for example, if you have one. Over the many years that you might be together, you’re going to buy each other so many gifts that you’re eventually going to struggle for ideas. You might then find yourself falling into the usual habit of buying a new item of clothing, or perhaps a bit of chocolate.

Know Your Person
You’re either going to know your person really well, hardly know them at all, or think you know them… but you really don’t.
Whichever one you are, it’s so important to make sure that you’re doing your research beforehand.
Half of the time, gifts that people receive are left to gather dust, because the person giving the gift just doesn’t have a clue what they like!
Now, it’s time to get your detective head on a little. All you have to do is drop a few subtle hints, or look out for the things that they point out in the shops when you’re walking around. Look for things that catch their eye, and take mental notes of it.
Filter out the things that you either can’t afford, or things that you know they were just casually browsing at, and you should be left with a few things that you can buy for them.
You can also try asking their friends or family if they know of anything that they know the person in question is longing for.
