A bit of a bold statement, I know, but sometimes you just have to add a bit of luxury to your life! In particular, I think you should do it around the home.
Just because I’m talking about luxury, it doesn’t mean I’m going to ask you to spend thousands of pounds!
You can easily do so much with your home to add a splash of luxury, without having to splash hardly any cash. You just have to know where to look, and what
actually looks good.
As some of you might have not gone for the luxurious look before, I’m here to help show you what it takes to transform your home. Have a read on to find out more.
The Luxurious Furniture
The furniture should be the main event in your household. It’s the thing you and your guests are probably going to spend the most time on, so you might as well make it count.
Now, there’s always been a long debate as to whether leather is better than other materials, and I can certainly tell you that it does add that luxurious vibe. There’s just something about leather that makes it seem so much more high end, plus it’s easier to clean.
You don’t want to go for a recliner, a block leather sofa is going to be the best. Perhaps a corner sofa if you need the space, with a footrest in the corner of the room. You can then use the foot rest as and when you need it as you would a recliner.
Of course, other materials can work just as fine, especially if you accessorise them a little. Maybe a fur throw and some luxurious fluffy pillows.
The Luxurious Decor
It’s all about the decor when we’re talking about luxury. But just because we’re talking about luxury, it doesn’t mean the decor has to be all fancy. In fact, the simpler it is, the better. It all relies on the colours you use, and how you mix them together.
Interior designers know how to do this perfectly, so why not think about hiring one. All you would need to do is hire them for a day or two, and let them share their wisdom with you. All you need to say is that you’re looking for a luxurious look, and they would know where to turn.
However, if you want my advice, the darker looks of the greys, whites, and blacks, are all that you should be looking at at the minute. They’re so in at the minute, and really do give the home that luxurious vibe when mixed with the furniture.
The Luxurious Exterior
The exterior is something people always seem to forget about, but it can play just as much of a role as the inside of the house would. After all, it’s the first thing people are going to see!
So, one thing you might want to consider is resurfacing your driveway.
Something I think that looks luxurious is light coloured gravel. It might be a little more messy for your car every now and then, but it does look really good!
