If you are getting married soon then you will understand how important it is to have a wedding that you can be proud of. The problem is that weddings can easily get out of hand, especially when you are on a budget.
If you want to get around that without compromising your big day then you can find out whatever you need to know, right here.
Avoid Inflating Your Guest List
Sure, you might be tempted to get everyone you know on your guest list. You should know however that this isn’t always possible, and it’s not always a good idea either.
With every person you add to your list, you add additional cost and you make your wedding way less intimate as well. This is the last thing that you need when you are already working so hard to make your big day everything it can be.
One good way for you to cut the cost down would be for you to narrow down your guest list by 20%. When you have done that, try and narrow it down by another 20%.
Ask for Help
Instead of asking for gifts from people, try and ask for favours instead.
If you know that someone in your family is really musically talented then chat with them to try and find out if they can provide something for the ceremony. You might also want to ask people to give you money so that they can help out with some of the cost of the wedding, and it’s also a good idea to hire local wedding photographers too.
When you do this, you can cut down the cost because they won’t have to travel as far, and they may even be able to give you a discount if you are having a relatively short wedding too.
Hire a Family Restaurant
For your wedding, you might be able to do the catering yourself. You might also be able to recruit the help of a local restaurant as well as they can give you a huge discount on your catering costs.
You need to ask the restaurant owner to see if they can help, and if you go to a family restaurant, you know that they will always go that extra mile to make your wedding super special. They will also be much more understanding of your budget so that you can rest assured knowing that everything is going to go to plan.
Instead of spending a ton of money on flowers that will just die a few days after the reception, try and keep it simple.
Have a small bouquet for the bride instead of having a large display. You might also want to give each bridesmaid an individual flower as well, as this can save you a small fortune.
If you know someone local who can do the flowers for you then this is another bonus and you would be surprised at how much you can save by using the services that are very close to your venue.
